Checking your messages has never been easier: Introducing Rogers Visual Voicemail Plus!

The truth is, sometimes you just can’t answer a phone call. There are countless scenarios where picking up your phone is simply not an option, like when you’re in a meeting with a prospective homeowner, or discussing the latest building trends with an associate. Oftentimes, after you’ve missed a call, it’s not always possible to call your voicemail mailbox right away to see what the caller had to say.

Rogers recently launched Visual Voicemail Plus as part of the new Rogers Value Packs. What is so great about this new technology is that not only do you get the audio file pushed to your phone, but the message is transcribed to text and sent with the audio file as an attachment in a single message. Since the message is coming to you via text message, you will no longer need to dial into your voicemail inbox, enter a password, and listen to the prompts—your audio message is just a click away. With Rogers Visual Voicemail Plus, rather than having to listen to each message in the order they were left, you have the ability to see the list of messages and can directly access the ones you want.

Visual Voicemail is currently available for a selection of Blackberry and Android devices through an application, and is also available on other smartphones and mobile phones that support MMS (picture/video) messages with messages delivered via MMS.

To subscribe to this service, simply contact Rogers. Blackberry and Android users can download the Visual Voicemail Plus app from Rogers Mobile Internet portal or the Android market. Because all messages are synchronized between your device and traditional voicemail mailbox, if you delete or view a message in the app, it will be deleted or marked as Saved in your voicemail inbox.
